I've always had a good result with the mk1 eyeball, and a torch used to shine in alone the splines Other than that, a length of something that fits in the spigot bearing or flywheel hole and tape wrapped around to fit snug in the clutch plate

I'm going to sat the key is having the tape wrapped around uniformly around the length. This can be eyeballed as well.

I got given a Draper one, with a couple of different spline adapters. Brilliant job, up to that point i was using a half inch extension and bloody hard to get boxes on input shafts!

Ive never used one, only ever done t25, mk3 golf and mk4 golf boxes. Are they only needed on certain cars or is it something to have?

I use one of these at work. At least 3 clutches a week on moderns and no problems, unless they are self adjusting clutches
