Price drop to £3200 ono!
Here I have for sale my turbocharged v8 powered Volvo 260 estate.
Mileage: 168104 miles
Mot: 08/05/19
Taxed/ insured: Yes (can be test driven/ delivered at cost)
The car is fitted with a 3.5L rover V8 that was rebuilt to a high standard by the previous owner. The block is internally deburred, has a high lift camshaft and performance clutch.
during my ownership i have replaced almost everything that can be bolted to the bare longblock, including fitting a gt35 turbo charger, enlarged inlet plenum, throttle, 3" exhaust, larger injectors and a customized Megasquirt 2 ecu.
The power is put out through a uprated R380 manual gearbox to the volvo axle through a custom propshaft.
It has been dyno'd at 290bhp/300lbft @7psi boost and is currently running 10psi boost following a major fuel system upgrade.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. A little tarnished in places but pulls fantastically.
The interior is a lovely 80's blue velour which is in surprisingly good shape for its age. All the dials work and I have built in a boost gauge and lambda sensor readout so it doesn't look like an extra from Fast and Furious: Swedish drift
The only real bad points to the car are cosmetic rust, drivers electric window doesn't work and that the roof has some small dents. The rust is around the rear windows, door bottoms, base of the windscreen and some surface rust mainly within the engine bay. None of the rust is structural and the underside of the car is in great condition, Preserved by 30 years worth of oil leaks!
Spec list from memory:
Originally built as a safety/pace rally car back in the early 2000s (to the best of my knowledge after speaking to a previous owner who saw this advert)
Body:
Front and read disks and pads
Calipers rebuilt
Braided brake lines
Front and Rear lowering springs
New front damper inserts
Headlights refurbished
Load lugger rear dampers
Engine:
3.5L block low mileage, bought new when installed into car. Block deburred and oil ways enlarged.
High pressure oil pump
High lift camshaft with new hydraulic lifters
Tvr inlet manifold with enlarged throttle body
Tubular exhaust manifolds
Bosch green giant injectors
Sytec fpr
Walbro 470lph fuel pump
Megasquirt MS2 standalone ECU with custom loom
Gt35 turbocharger
45mm external wastegate + screamer pipe
Ford coilpacks
3" exhaust turbo back
Front mount intercooler
Massive K&N filter behind the grill
Manual boost controller
Gearbox:
R380 uprated gearbox
Custom propshaft from CPS drive link
Uprated clutch
Interior, Stock aside from:
Innovate MTX-L wideband gauge display
Boost gauge built into dash
Battery relocated into the boot
I'm asking £3900 for the car, but I am open to a swap for a kit car that's on the road and ideally cash my way (i'm after a running project)
Any questions, feel free to ask and ill post the replies on here.
