Thread resurrection
Just to bounce this up, and so that I can find it again.
Can anyone involved, remember how much steel was in the windscreen frame, keeping it attached to the body ?
I have removed three gutter bolts, and know of two sections of Angle iron in the A-pillars, keeping it all upright.
Just wondering if there is just loads of resin and possibly silicone left to deal with.
I really do not want to damage the body on mine.

We never removed the body Grizz, so I'm not sure. One of the other guys might know better than me though.....

One pic in your thread looks like a grinder was employed, and I understand that the two lengths of angle iron in the A-Pillar needs cutting, just wondered if there was any more hidden steel. Mine seems to have a load of resin and glass fibre along the bottom edge, and I want to keep it as tidy as possible when cutting screen away. Allowing for a tidy edge for the Land Rover item from glenanderson to sit on.

Thread resurrection Just to bounce this up, and so that I can find it again. Don't you bookmark your own threads? - I do makes them much easier to find Yes, I bookmarked about three, then forgot. So my โbookmarkโ is to add Grizzโs into the title, and mostly I recall what car it is, or the year model, so a search is reasonably easy to find again. This thread I found before I bought the Rezin Rockit and saved a couple of pics that I uploaded on my own Photobucket account so they would not get deleted as has happened over the years when quoting stuff, but had not posted in it, or copied the link, as I have now as a link in the Rockit threads first entry. I think that makes sense, I feel confused now ๐

Ah right, with you now. It was only the two angle sections in the pillars, the grinder was used to remove the flange for a smooth look, can't remember if that was steel or glass though.

Blimey proper thread resurrection!
From memory it was a simple angle iron frame with fibreglass over moulded. Not sure if it bolted on below the scuttle (posts going down and overlapping the A posts?) or not but would check as would make sense for this to be how it was put together.
If not then probably just 'glued' and bolted (from underneath?) to the top of the scuttle... maybe try running a cheese wire down it?
But I thought the whole body came off as one to be honest, if this is what you're trying to do

If you look at the Rezin Rockit thread you will see, it has been hacksawednow. Results are encouraging too. Next big trick will be to figure just how low I can get it all without major or any compromises.
