I am trying to source new drive flanges for my TVR. I have had no luck in finding out what car they migt have come from yet. However some one has suggested they might come from the IRS on the Zodiac/Zephyr (mk4?). Does anyone know or have such car and could have look to see if there might be a flange on there that is similar to mine? My flange is 4,5" in outer diameter. Has a rectangular bolt pattern and a internal 17 spline section which is 1" in the smaller diameter if that makes sense?

I've got a haynes manual for the late model 1966-72 and it looks like all of the diff flanges are fitted to shafts. The outer ones fit on the outside of the rear discs which could be similar as the attach with a spline but they are 5 stud.

You don't say what year it is, I presume somewhere in the 90s
I maintain a mid 80s 350SE for a customer and that has a Jag diff, but the shafts, hubs, and suspension are all bespoke TVR and (unusually) not derived from something else.
For stuff like this, I use a company called Proptech in Hartlebury Worcs. They used to make propshafts and driveshafts for TVR back in the day, if anyone knows, they will! 01299 251247.

I think it's an older model. Have they ever used Triumph, Rover P6 or Jag diffs in older models ? I've read about some using Salisbury diffs. I wonder where Lotus got differentials for Eclats and Elits from ?

95.25 PCD suggests small Triumphs - Herald/Vitesse/Spitfire/GT6 - very common with specialist (and race) car builders at the time.

The standard Vixen uses Triumph TR4 J-type Laycock overdrive gearbox output flanges I beleive, but they have an even smaller PCD. On my car it has been upgraded at some point to Griffith/Tuscan V6 spec which had larger U-joints due to larger and more powerful engines and there for this obscure drive flange.

I think I have misunderstood what you are looking for. I was thinking it was the output from the differential. On your car these are fitted on the inside of the hub and bolt onto the outer end of the driveshaft. Is that correct ? This is from the Manual. I wonder if a propshaft/diff flange off a Capri, Scimitar or similar would be similar ?

I just happen to have a Dolomite Sprint J type overdrive output flange (Same as TR4-6)lying around in my garage, saw it only last week!
It looks roughly like your drawing so i'll dig it out and do some measuring/counting and get back to you.

I wonder if a propshaft/diff flange off a Capri, Scimitar or similar would be similar ? Scimitar one (diff input flange) is 2" x 2.375" (50.8 x 60.3 approx) hole centres, so not that.

I'd not seen your thread about your TVR. Reading some info I found about the ones fitted with the Daimler engine it was mentioned that the differentials were changed for Salisbury ones that were stronger. Salisbury axles of various types are said to be fitted to all sorts of things. I seem to remember Scimitars being on the list, Land Rover was another, and I wondered if the flange you needed was a part they made normally fitted to one of these.
