I’ve put over 70K miles on my trusty Pug 205D and in about 3 years too, so I think I should show it some love….!
First thing, has anyone got a dipstick, the rubber bit on mine has disappeared and it’s a guessing game. Or if someone could measure how much of the dipstick fits into the oil filler, I could chance buying one of Ebay.
It’s always sat higher at the front, than the back for some unknown reason, so much that the wheels have a slight positive camber!
Thinking about using lowered 205 GTI front springs, will they suit the weight of the XUD engine?
And easy to fit? Probably fit new shocks at the same time too.
And finally, anywhere that breaks 205’s, I need some body panels and an indicator light, the car got savaged in a supermarket car park.
Near side front wing, rear near side passenger door (or skin) and a late type front indicator light (or a pair of early ones) are needed please, in case anyone has a garage full of unwanted 205 bits!
