Evening
After some advice regarding some bodywork and paint.i have done the odd touch up but nothing like this before.
I need to sort the roof out on my beetle as there's some surface rust. I planned on using a flap wheel to get rid of the worst then use a rust converter and then prime it with epoxy primer.
What I'm not sure about is will a 80 grit flap wheel be ok to get rid of most of the rust before I apply a rust converter?
Once the rust converter has cured will I need to sand this back before I apply the epoxy primer?
I'm also going to have to use a roller to apply the epoxy primer so will need to do this in two coats. Will I need to wait until the first coat becomes tacky or will I have to let this dry and sand back to apply the second coat?
Cheers
