Per the title, anyone aware of other cars that use the 2.0 24v V6 that’s used in a 93/96 Mitsubishi Galant?
Am trying to locate an aircon compressor for one, and drawing a big blank.
Thanks!

FTO uses the 6A12 engine, if that's the one your referring to. The Galant also used the 6A13 (2.5 V6) which I think will use the same aircon compressor. Mike at Viamoto will be able to give you more help such as common part numbers etc www.viamoto.co.ukCheers AL.

Hi, Instead of looking for the engines try getting the name and any numbers off the compressor and searching for that. If you have no luck with that go to an air-con company and they will know what it is and can probably repair it or it may just be a case of changing your back plate over to a fresh compressor. Or failing that they could put an alternative comp on and re-hosing it to your car. Look for a company that does PSV or plant work as they will be used to that sort of work.

mitsubishi were working with volvo around that sort of time too - not sure if any of those parts were shared with galant though.

Looking at the compressor ID for the FTO: MSC090C It brings up a few cars that use this same compressor Volvo V40 linkCarisma linkthere's a few more and it seems the Mitsubishi part number is MR315268 link
Looks like it's £835.69 from Mitsubishi There's loads of FTO's being broken these days so there should be no shortage of a compressor. HTH AL.

Thank you all for your input; sadly the knackered compressor has long since been chucked, so no hope of scavenging that to make something else fit (I've been asked for assistance a little to late really).
The broken compressor has model number AX105VSL4 with reference AKA201A230 - they've available on eBay by the looks, but he doesn't much like the idea of ~£350.

I saved £400 on a starter motor for my acty that way.
