I would vote for the Unipart livery, not seen it done before. Also your van isnt ex gas or BR its not a restoration colour scheme so freedom to do it however you like 😎

Glad to see your progressing nicely with the build. I like the idea of a liveried / sign written van, In place of a national company could you not perhaps use the logo of a more regional or local company, or even better use a logo/ design for a business real or fictional that has some connection with either yourself or your family.

I have thought about this and haven’t made my mind up what I want to do with it yet but definitely think it needs something

Van was clearly parked somewhere it shouldn't have been, which can be seen from what appears to be broken door glass on the left side of the image and has been pushed onto the bollard/capstan by the wagon. Reminds me of being at Llangollen works and the wife nearly getting hit by on 08 shunter because she was looking at it through a camera with a wider field of vision than the human eye. Got some lovely close up pictures of the 08's cooling grilles. Always leave buffer beam clearance

Jim - Its a decent 'stripper' that you need - forget the POR stuff that's just a waste of time & money - here is what I use shop.autopaintsbrighton.co.uk/starchem-paint-stripper-5l-2598-p.aspVarious outlets sell it - quick online browse and you will find it via most electronic sales sites Score the paint deeply - Stanley knife used with care works best But its best to it spread on thickly - don't let it dry out - it needs to stay wet I removed 15 layers of paint in 3 applications Has you get down to bare metal don't use a scraper has you tend to create work with the scraper digging into the panel - a pair of marigolds & course wire wool works a treat though

I've also found covering the paint stripper in polythene can help as it slows it down from drying out.
I've put some on, covered it over and left it overnight and come back to it.
