For Sale:
Cool old Surefire High Power Electronic Ignition shop display
I believe it's from the late 1970's
Has a whole electronic ignition set up on it, Points, coil, spark plug and ignition module.
Has a 240v to 12v inverter inside it so it runs off of mains voltage
Has a little motor behind where the points are, and it's speed adjustable with the knob on the bottom right
It's functioning and sparks effectively, really cool visual display on how spark plugs work etc
There are 2 small problems with it though, the plastic bracket that holds the spark plug in is cracked, but it's literally just a piece of plastic with a 90 degree bend and 3 holes drilled in it, if I find a bit of plastic in my garage that'll fix it then I will.
It only works in standard mode, there's a switch on the ignition module that switches it from normal to electronic mode, and when it's switched to electronic mode, the timing light flashes, but it doesn't spark
Could possibly be fixed if you wanted to take it apart though.
It does work perfect in normal mode, so I've just left it like that.
Super cool item, it's in great condition and would look fantastic in a garage/man cave.
Here's a video of it working on Youtube:
Hard thing to price so I'm going to say £300 but I'm willing to listen to offers.
Collection welcome from Worcester Park, Surrey.
