SOLD 1985 Citroen Visa 14trs.
Sold
I bought the car a few months ago with the intention of running it through the summer and beyond. I bought it from a chap who was the go-to man for the Visa in the Citroen classic car club. A little look on-line and you will find threads on the car as it was owned my a member of the Visa forum. Also, the ACTUAL car is on the Greek wiki page - a star! Well, not exactly.
- New Windscreen (Insurance will cover this and as it is the same screen as the C15 van, plenty availible)
- Driver's side rear wheel bearing
- Rear drum service
- Rear number plate
Paint wise, it needs a bloody good buff. The MOT chap remarked that structually, it was in great shape. It has never been welded. There are age related blemishes over the car and rust on the lower edge of the nearside front door (photos availible) and minor corrosion on the lower part of the windscreen. All sills and arches are rust free and in great condition. The car is incredibly rust free for a 33 year old Frenchy.
Tyres are brand new Michelins, including the spare. The service included all filters and ignition leads. The car is chain driven so no need to worry there.
The Visa has covered an incredible 50k which I believe to be correct. The 1.4 engine nips along nicely
The interior is wonderfully brown and beige. Love the styling of the interior and the 80's plastic design. The radio is origional and functions perfectly. It surprisingly has central locking. The passenger electric window works but the driver's side does not. A very rare spec apparently!
It is certainly a charming car and when driving it this afternoon, I had second thoughts about selling it. Strong I must be!

There are only two Visa 14trs Citroens remaining in the UK. Good news is that the engine is shared with the BX and Peugeot 205 so sourcing parts is not difficult - I used Chevronics and they were very helpful and reasonably priced.
