After much googling, I cannot find an answer. Too much about plate retention and all that.
If a car is scrapped, is it legal to keep /sell the number plates as show plates or display only? I assume in the UK, its frowned upon, but they are technically useless and just a piece of plastic once the vehicle is no longer on the dvla database.
Someone in a far away land in Asia is interested as there's a market for them over there. Is there any sort of legal issue with selling old plates as decoration for foreign cars abroad?
