Looks good, mate. Glad to see you enjoying these very underrated cars. I'm a turbo man myself, have a forged Rev 3 motor in my Rev 2 GT.  I've broken and sold a few SW20's over the years, a few turbo's, a G Limited etc and have loads of parts still, if you need anything (cheap) give me a shout. (I thought that 300mm OMP may have came from me, at first lol.) Definitely pull the foam out of the inner sills! I look forward to seeing what you do to it. |

Had another productive few hours on the MR2 today. First off I changed the thermostat for a new working one. Warms up nice and quick now. But had an interesting issue that when accelerating hard in second gear the temp gauge dropped then rose again? I guess it’s due to the size of the cooling system circa 16l and cool coolant getting into the system when I got on it and the stat opened?? Anyway drive it around for a while and got it nice and hot but couldn’t make it overheat so I think all is good! Old knackered stat and the new one. You could see through the old one lol   I also fitted a new DAB stereo and aerial as I’m going to be taking this down south to work to use and I need 6 music. No pictures of that but we all know wha they look like. Then changed my insurance to cover commuting so happy day all in all. |

Well the MR2 has now gone to make way for the latest addition. Nothing like swapping from Japanese to English lol. I know the MR2 is the better car but I’d had my fun with it and having another rear wheel drive Japanese two seater on the drive which is more fun I had to part ways. It’s made way for this standard mk4 Escort. Very good condition with a few blemishes. Thread will be coming along soon.  |
