Donington Park circuit is offering track days every Sunday between now and Christmas for £95 per day. That's cheap.
The days are run in sessions (presumably split by speed/ability), so (hopefully) no risk of getting tangled up with 500BHP Porsches and bike-engined Caterham Sevens.
So would anyone else be interested in an informal Retro Track Day - we just agree a date, book individually and turn up. No organisation (beyond agreeing a date) but it could be fun to get a few interesting old cars out on track at the same time. I'll bring my Mk1 Golf - I think the engine still has one more track day left in it before I pull it out to fit the TSR-tuned motor I bought a few months ago.
I know the weather can be a bit dodgy at this time of year, but I did a track day at Mallory last month in very slippery conditions and it was brilliant - much more fun than in the dry, I reckon. Anyone else up for it?
