My ‘Green Hornet’ this is the 3rd and final time I have owned her, it’s now a do or die project. She came of the road at least 2 years ago as there was a need for a new clutch, if I could get one a gearbox and to sort the top end tapping. I started and failed to remove the gearbox but I did get the 2 tappy shims out, then I lost heart and decided it was beyond my ability and things I could not do, so she sat there like a heavy stone round my neck. A couple of times I tried doing stuff, failing all the time, possibly as my heart was not in it. Fast forward to around 4 months ago, I appear to have been doing myself a disservice, I can do these things and much more, the internet is a marvellous tool/teacher/help group. I shall do a bit more detail later, for now have a how she looked and how she looks now few pictures ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Quiet times so not much more done, started on the shock refurb, they will need new bumpstops and gaiters, funnily enough the KONI adjustables are the same as mustang ones.... Put in a refurbed slave frame and plumbed in a new clutch slave. Forgot to say, the fitted gearbox is the one I could not do, seems I could, put a new clutch in as well..😄

Good amount of parts refurbished there. They are lovely looking cars. Well done for saving it! Cheers, due to there not being a large choice of new parts it makes what you can get expensive, for example the front brake calipers, the ones used are not he same as any other 155’s. They are Alfa 33 calipers, even rarer, £100 each, i refurbed both with new seals (pistons are good) for £20. It’s the only way I can afford to get it back on the road.

Another tiny step forward, wing/bumper supports fitted, oil cooler mount and anti vibration damper bolted in, at this rate it should be ready for free tax and mot 😄

And a step back 😔 All the bits involving the anti vibration damper were removed........................... Some dipstick had forgotten to put the huge engine mount in first, it is all done now and the removed bits are back on, along with the oil cooler itself..

After working 00.00 until 16.00 and covering 640 miles I did a little bit, for the first time in over a year the engine has all its mounts and is self supporting (stand under the blue vinyl glove is just there, doing nothing)

Over 2 years ago I removed, suspension and steering stuff... Today one side got it back, refurbed shock, new cv joints/boots/clips at both ends, new tre/drop... Finally I have somewhere to hang a wheel 😁 Plan is to get her to roll then when the V6 is welded up I shall bring that here and my green girl can go in the lockup undercover and I can work on it in all weather (Shock bolts are just for holding in position)
