Hi guys, I've done a fair bit of reading on Google, and I can't find anyone who's done it. Quite a few have tried taking 4.5mm off the tyre bead so that a 15" tyre will fit, leaving a bead mounting wall of 2mm thickness. Well I've done some measuring, and I reckon I can make a 390mm trx into a 16" fairly easily. Pictures to follow next week before I Chuck one up on eBay to confuse people

I was just going to build up the edge with some chemical metal, mount it up on the rear axle of something and hold a grinder on it with a 40 grit flap wheel on a 115mm grinder.....

Interesting...I have 390 on my CX and would need some new tires and was thinking about 15" stretched...but your idea is better - also I remember there was some sort of discussion for Mondial or 308 about people looking to do that...
