I'm looking to pick up an in line thermostat housing on the cheap, either a cheap aftermarket part or something I can pick up at a scrappers.
I have seen fancy billet jobbies but I'd rather not fork out $100!
I'm in Canada so no French cars out here to speak of.

Loads of billet ones in the states for around $40, advertised on eBay. Otherwise Landrover Freelander or Jaguar x type, neither of which I would imagine are a dime a dozen in Canada 😂

Most OE inline ones I can think of are bypass ones with 3 outlets, although I'm thinking a freelander one is 2 outlets. The one on my BMW is certainly a bypass one at any rate.

The Ford Mondeo V6 has an inline thermostat housing. However, like the BMWs it also has a bypass outlet.
The pattern thermostats for the V6s IME are useless and old OE items tend to perish and not function as a thermostat anymore. But it's not the first time I've seen that happen with pattern/old stats.

Appreciate the input, thank you all!
I shall continue the quest.
It's shipping, import tax and the week / 10 days it takes that puts me off US orders.
