After driving around in various non retro modern boxes for the last 5 year and a divorce I can finally have a car on my terms that I want. Always loved T-top cars and this came up locally from a friend 1992 Nissan 100nx 1.6 manual 77k on the clock with full history And a full MOT Checked the usual rear turrets for rust and it's clean as a whistle. The full front end has grown on me plans are to lower with a set of wheels (not sure what yet open to suggestions ) and to enjoy it for the summer. The sun came out today for a short while so had the top off My mini human loved driving with the roof down too

Following. I've seen one of these a few times in Stoke recently and thought it would look nice with some treatment.
Lows and wide shiny wheels.

Sweet ride - definitely a bit of a marmite car that's coming of age / growing into itself. It's got a bit of a CRX DelSol thing to it that I hadn't noticed before. I think with rims something japanese - perhaps some OZ Superturismo 17s - in gold, white or maybe gunmetal? Looking forward to updates on this!

Nearly bought one of these a while ago on a whim - fun cars to drive and like to rev, kind of like a slower MX5 with more roof!

Nice find, wish you many motoring pleasures with it. Plus 90's Nissan ftw

Could the front lights be changed for something else? I think that's the only part of the car visually that grates as the T-top factor is cool!

Agreed about the lights - I reckon mk2 MX5 lights might fit with a flush look iif the front panel can take some medium fettling. Indicators are in the lamps so the whole front can be tidier. If cutting plastic and aligning headlamp beams is yer thing A quick potatoshop for proof of concept:

or a front-end transplant from a 180SX might be more achievable?

Had one not long ago very easy to work on and so much space in the engine bay. The inside is like a green house. Very usable especially with kids as most T tops are very very small. Bet you can't wait till summer.
One thing to note with this is it has asbestos on firewall behind the engine so just be mindful of that

or a front-end transplant from a 180SX might be more achievable? That looks so much nicer. The standard front end on a 100 really lets it down, and I bet it would have been a lot more popular with a nicer front end. The area between the lights reminds me of the mk3 Passat - a really fugly front end!

I actually love the smooth front end of the mk3 Passat! I’m a bit conscious we’re getting a bit negative on here any way I mean if it had pop up lights it would look like lots of 90s Japanese cars so might lose some of its uniqueness.
