So money is not an issue here... The JCB is worth good money nevermind a Jag XK in any 'flavour' Looks to still have a reg. plate on,can anyone make it out from that pic ? Will get the reg next time i'm passing, the Jag was hidden from sight for years by a skip but skip was shifted a while ago, it's all visable from a main road through locked gates so thousands of people must have seen it.

Started a seperate thread on this a while back thought i'd post it on here anyway, Chrysler Charger in my local breakers, looked saveable but the car had a destruction order on it so was doomed, spoke to the yard owner recently and he said he sold hardly any parts off it. R.I.P Some parts were sold, In fact the whole car except the bare shell had a buyer but the yard owner thought everything was worth a fortune so nobody had that much from it. From memory he wanted something like £5 or £600 for the untested 318 motor - they just aren't worth anything like that

Nothing worse than a tight scrapyard owner . I used to got o one and get a reasonable price then some horrible little shriveled man with sunglasses and afag on would come out and overrule the amount , often double .

Can I ask a stupid question - why would a car have a destruction notice issued against it? From that picture there doesn't seem to be a whole lot wrong with it?

Yard owner was contracted by the council to get rid of it (from a lockup i think), it was logged as scrapped with the DVLA (by the council), he was quite plain in that the car could not be used on the road again. I think yard owners could lose their licence if that happens.

Hi, here goes my first post in this thread, hopfully many more to follow as I know of a few retro cars locally. Ok I took these a few years ago now but only just found the memory card they were on, First pic was taken at Oakley scrap yeard in Buckinghamshire, he always has a few old retro cars stuck up the back. Not sure what it is mind. I took this picture at Hughes scrap yard, it was well out the way from the normal scrap fodder, I think it was actually removed to be restored as it disapeared one day .

What's the deal with this classic RR? It's in a yard somewhere in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. I was looking for somewhere in a warren of back streets and needed to turn round so I went into a yard and there it was, surrounded by curse word.

One rounadabout is that at the enterance to the Leechmere Asda, the Other near Machine Mart. Sorry if the photos are out of focus, but vision impared for the next 2 months before they can tell if healed or if the surgens at the Sunderland eye infirmary operate! This is a main road and it looks like it hasn't moved in years!!
