	I’m going to look at a car tomorrow French plates, UK MOT Didn’t know that could be done Can I legally drive it although I am a UK resident and how easy/difficult is it to UK register Retro car (ish) 1998 Thanks in advance Carl

	Legally, UK residents can’t drive non UK cars on UK roads.

	You need a UK MOT (on VIN rather than reg) if you want to import it, see here, so that's one less worry. EU car should not be too difficult to import if it comes with paperwork.
