Suppose this won’t be far off being accepted as a retro This is another of our fleet ( the wife’s nice weather car ) We’ve owned it since 2005-2006 No plans to ever part with it I’ll add alittle write up later on, I’ll just leave a few pics here for now to see how it goes down Finally got a chance to wash the dust off the wife’s A3 Been sitting in the garage since September Much better after a good wash and a little quick detailer

What’s the brakes off? Cupra R? Look huge! Yep Leon Cupra R front and rear brakes Fronts are Brembos with 324mm disc. Fill the 19’s a lot better than the original brakes. When the time comes for new discs and pads I think I’ll go 2 piece disc & bell set up which go up to a 330mm disc... Rears are 256mm vented disc

So, the Audi is the room mate of your Orion. That's a nice duo to have mate!!
Age wise the Audi is not that far from being Retro-ish style wise it's still very modern. Nice nonetheless

Great cars, feel so well built. I do miss my old 1.8t quattro at times! Go on then, where's the list of mods?

I think the thing is these seem quite modern as this is still when manufacturers were a little daring with designs. We had just come out of the recession bound 90s where evolution took place if you were lucky with cash strapped car manufacturers. It seems 2005ish was when people went very daring like the Bangle BMW or the Megane's rear bum, or simply played it very safe, like the Clio, which was development of the previous Clio. Audi seemed to continue that more than others ; Compare the Audi Bxs over the generations and it will be interesting to compare them.
I don't mind these and I've often debated buying a TT.
