Hi all... not posted in a while due to life and building....😂 Just a fun poll really... for various reasons I find myself in the position of having the following cars to drive. 1/. 53 plate BMW 330ci with 60000 miles. Owned by my wife from new. 2/. 00 plate Jaguar X308 Executive 44000 miles from new... my dads car from new, Given to me when he passed. I really need to choose one to keep, as keeping both is greedy, and I already have two project cars as well. Basically, for anybody who gives a s^*~t...which would you keep...and why?

I would be rich if i had not spent so much money on Cars and fast women...oh, i did waste some of it as well!

I would let my heart rule it. Which has most sentimental value? Would your dad have wanted you to keep the Jag? On a technical basis, the 330 to use daily, the jag to use on sunny sundays. Pushed into daily service the jag will start to crumble unless you give it plenty of tlc The bmw will cope with more abuse but in my opinion is just too usable to be a treat

For driving pleasure the BMW by a country mile, sentimentally though I'd have to keep the Jag, I don't like them at all but it's bound to evoke good memories of your old man.

I love X300s and 308s. Sadly they are nearly 6cm wider than my S and don't fit on the drive. I'd also really like a six cylinder 3 series but am not sure I could face sifting through the dross to find a good one. You don't have the dross issue or the space issue so keep both.

No doubt the BMW would be a great car to drive. But if I seen it on the street, well actually I wouldn’t. It would just be another old Repmobile that would blend into the background. But the Jag would make me stop and appreciate its classic lines.

Of the two, the jaaag has more going for it....
But because of the emotional connection to your late Dad, the longer you keep it the deeper the connection will become...
And being a jaaaag, at some point I suspect it will test your resolve
So though the easy answer is the jaaaaaaag, it may be less painful to keep the beemer, because it’d be easier to cut that loose in the future

Lose the beemer, it's probably nice enough but just a bit ordinary for me. Keep the Jag, you know you'll only regret it once its gone!

Your dad left you his Jag - Obvs keep forever. Special occasions only, wrap it up and care for it whatever anyone says to you about the car. You should do that if your dad left you a curse word box. He didnt, you've got a jag.

No brainer, bin the beemer!
OK, the V8 isn't the best of the Jaguar engines but if it was your late Dad's car, selling it is like selling a bit of him. It looks to be in exceptionally nice condition for an 18 year old car and has much more 'presence' than a BMW, (which, let's face it, are two-a-penny). There are plenty of XJ8's about but cherish it and one day it will be a much rarer car.

Sentimentality would dictate I keep the Jag definitely.
If I was buying one of them I would buy the BMW.

Oh this is quite the conundrum, I hope you're gonna be ok?
I'd keep the Jag, without question.....

Or sell them both take your family on a holiday give your dad a good send off and use the holiday to remember him and start new good family memories moving forward then come back and buy something you want with what's left so still starting a fresh and moving forward and the jag your dad and the bmw will have paid for a holiday and something you want still with some attachment but not the sentimental value so its your to do with as you please.
