The time has come to admit that I don't have time to get this project done. It would make a great classic Q-car / Towcar / classic car.
It was fitted in 1982 with a. 5.7 litre v8 diesel from an Oldsmobile Cutlass. Chassis mounts are done well and it looks like a professional conversion. Although it hasn't done many miles, the engine needs a rebuild. The original LT95 4 speed manual gearbox has been rebuilt & is ready to go back in. I have the adaptor ring and believe it would be easy to fit a 5.7 petrol v8 which would make things a bit more exciting!
The chassis is absolutely solid and has never been repaired. The body needs a bit of work , although it is the sound basis for a fairly easy restoration. Needs front inner wings, which bolt on with these early RRs. I have included a new rh inner wing, another driver's door and a good n/s rear wing.
Interior is partially dismantled, but all included. Driver's seat needs re-covering but frame is good. Rear seat is fine. Headlining is there but knackered.
This is a complete vehicle and I have various other parts (6.2 engine & zf box, Tru- Trac LSD, 6 x Rostyle original wheels) which will be available separately. I have the V 5 in my name. Delivery would be possible at extra cost of fuel if required. The car is located near Milverton , Taunton
