For sale is my Austin metro 1.3 hle.been dry stored for over 10 years, good condition for age,few marks around, have had running recently, replaced starter solenoid and fuel pipe,1.3 A+ series engine, shouldn’t take much to bring her back on the road, only selling due to lack of time, has rare front fog lights in grille and rear spoiler.bad bits are the alternator seized and unable to engage gears when running, suspect possible clutch cable. Paper work will need to be applied for as previous owner never sent any to me, reluctant sale, can deliver depending where at few,any questions please ask, Located Toddington Bedfordshire, just of junction 12 m1 £650

Will it select reverse when running, or no gears at all?

This brings back memories.
Around 21 years ago, my Mum had a 1987 Austin Metro 1.3 Vanden Plas Auto. It had power steering, front electric windows, remote central locking fake walnut trim and plush velour interior. She had to choose between this and a MG white Metro Turbo (which I really wanted her to get).
It was weird having a spec in a Metro which would put most other cars to shame. The only thing it didn't have was the leather interior that some came with.
I remember it had only done 35k miles or so, and drove well. Every MOT it needed the suspension pumping up, but was a fun little car.
Can't find any MOT history on the car, to see when it went to the scrapyard in the sky - reg was D530 ABD.

Can't find any MOT history on the car, to see when it went to the scrapyard in the sky - reg was D530 ABD. Tax due: 12 April 2006 I think this indicates the date it was marked as scrapped on the DVLA database (as tax would normally run out at the end of the month, not halfway through).
