Whilst browsing Ebay and being trailer less I came across this. After some intense bidding ( Just me) I won! He was a smashing old gent, it even came with a matching spare wheel, new period mudguards and two spare tyres. So once I stripped the box off I was left with this. I now need to make it look like this So any ideas for period lighting? Its a 1930's Gibson Eccles but I can find very little about them, I want to keep the vintage look but it needs to be a usable work horse so any ideas or suggestions feel free. Bought some of these for £12 for the sides.

Series Land Rover rear lights and indicators,, reasonably cheap, subtle enough and definitely in period

What looks right is not necessarily right, but what looks wrong is definitely not right!

I'm slowly working my way through them making them more subtle.

Thanks but I need it to meet current road traffic laws so it must have stop, tail and indicators, going to use an original T reflector instead of the Triangles though. I like these. And I may well have found a used set for free! www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/379/category/71I just have to make them work a a Stop and tail now. Heres the T plate I believe these are used from 1937 but can't find any evidence so little trailer info is available?

Repro "pork pie", or D lights. Apparently the last owner thought D lights but they are very expensive, at the end of the day as long as it looks periodish to the average man in the street I am happy. I know the rivet counters wont like it and will find fault but up until now I have only found one other owner of one so I doubt I will meet a self appointed trailer specialist at a show or Jumble! Already had a bloke come talking about it to me at the tip! I did wonder about doing it in a company logo?

The T warning would be the period correct warning for the age of the trailer, either that or the white triangle set with round reflectors. A friend of mine has a very similar trailer he uses for his kit with his Willies Jeep.

Twin filament bulb holders, simple enough to obtain from any scrappy from modern 'twist fit' tail lights. I'll ask if he has any more photos. I think all he did was add tail lamp reflectors (no indicators on a Willies) and refit the correct ring hitch.
