Had the Blue whale now since 1st June this year and covered about 11,000 miles during this period.
Pictures are from original Advert, only thing that has changed is wound the front end up about 1/2"

Rather than re write the original add here it is with picture. I will put in my 2ps worth at the end.
The car has the old VAG 2.5TDI unit used by VW/Audi for years in many cars and vans, tough as old boots and will go on forever. Indeed when Trump gets happy with his trigger finger, I believe the only things left in the post apocalyptic wasteland will be 1998 Volvo V70 TDI's and cockroaches. Its unrefined, clattery and smokey. But it pulls very well thanks to a remapped ECU being in there taking it from 140bhp to 170bhp.
As you can see the car comes in a rather fetching shade of blue, with all the scuffs and scratches you'd expect on a car of this vintage. I see them as battle scars, and I'm pretty sure most women dig them.
Since we're on about appearance, the car is lowered on coilovers and has a set of T5 alloy wheels on. The ride is a bit "Scene" (See bouncy, and crashy) but not at all unbearable. And who cares when you look this good?
Anyway, the headlines for those who can't be bothered to read:
- 181,000ish miles which obviously will increase due to daily use. - Now about 192K
-MOT until 24/4/2018
- Some service history and receipts
- Coilovers and T5 Wheels
- Remapped ECU
- Silky smooth Automatic gearbox - ahem - see below
- Good tyres and brakes all round - stuck 2 new ones on the front a few months back
- V5 etc all present.
Interior is pretty good and it is a really nice place to be. There are a few scrapes and the odd dent but nothing stand out for a 19 year old car. My Dad commented that if I put a private plate on it you would not know it was as old as it is.
Everything works.
So thats the good stuff.
For those that have read my various posts during my tenure you will see reference to overheating and poor performance.
Over heating was traced back to a blocked vent at the head which was cleared out and didn't have a problem with since.
Poor performance leads me to the reason I am selling it and the reason why it is £450....
The gearbox decided that it no longer wanted to engage drive after making a lot of very 'interesting noises' with the oil now being a very interesting shade of broken... pretty sure that the lack of performance was down to the lock up not unlocking... Once at motorway speed it pulled very hard into triple digits on my private test track in Mexico.
Now if the gearbox had stayed in possession of all its gears I would not have got rid of it. My wife actually had become quite attached to it and affectionately referred to it as Donkey. Great tool for visiting my numerous children at Uni and my daily 120 mile commute and not bad on juice.
I was going to convert to a manual and went so far as sourcing a donor vehicle but then realised that I just don't have the time to swap it over.
It will also need a heater rad as after putting a new rad cap on it let go. Currently bypassed.
So there you have it.
If you want it come and get it.
No I will not break it but you can once you have bought it.
