I've gotten to the point where I needed to shorten the front driveshaft and after a bit of searching found a shop - the are local to me and commonly work with customers all over using shipping if anyone else is interested bit.ly/2qFPjqK

Hey dude,
If you need it, somewhere I've got the merc part number of the propshaft you need. Assuming your car is a sedan?

Hey dude, If you need it, somewhere I've got the merc part number of the propshaft you need. Assuming your car is a sedan? That would be legit - I found a shaft from an Auto C230 sedan (Also, yes mine is a w124 sedan) It does fit - though it may be about an inch shorter than stock tolerances Here's a video where I show it a bit

This shaft was a super cheap W203 auto sedan from a junk yard It does fit - though it may be about an inch shorter than stock tolerances Here's a video where I show it a bit

Intercoolers are one of the hardest things to fit in a W124 imo, Turbobandit sell the biggest ICs that I know of that fit between the headlights but you still need to cut a good 3-5cm into the crossmember and delete A/C. I may just try water/meth injection for mine instead!
Cheers, keep em rolling!

Water/meth sounds like a reasonable alternative to out right chopping the frame up. I live in a very hot climate (summers are 110F +) so the AC had to stay. Others suggested an air to water IC unit but for simplicity sake and to avoid problems with heat sink I avoided it, others have had success with that though. I'll definitely keep the videos up.
Thank all
