I bought this a few weeks ago off a lady who had owned it over 10 years. It was a standard blue Moggy then, and it's not quite so standard now. All the paint was stripped off, and the roof painted black with some very fine rainbow flakes added under the clearcoat. The whole car was then clear coated, and it's got a great shine to it. Any holes were welded up on the outside, cleaned up and left on show.....I personally love this look, others may or may not! It's on standard wheels which I've quickly brush painted red and self whitewalled the tyres using Mr. Whitewalls paint. The back has been lowered on 1.5" blocks, and the front has had the torsion bars turned to lower it. Depending on what you like, the front might be a touch low, but it's literally a 45 minute job to raise it another spline if needed.
The engine is a beauty. 1098cc engine, and surprisingly nippy. Easily keeps up with modern traffic, starts first time and drives without fault. The gearbox is great too with no problem.
The interior has been left standard, with the blue seats all in lovely condition, as is the headlining. The carpets have worn around the edges. Personally, I think it would look great with a red interior, but I'll not be doing this as it's my personal taste, and maybe not everyones.
It has an MOT until the end of November, but I'll be putting another on for the new owner. From what I can see, it'll need two or three small patches welding and a steering rack gaitor, but that's about it. I'll have these done this week, and then send it for the MOT.
This car will get A LOT of attention! Purists will hate it. If you don't want attention, both good and bad, maybe this isn't the car for you
The price is pretty firm. I'll look at taking an interesting part exchange at trade price, if really needed. Although, I'd much rather a cash sale.
I can deliver this UK wide for £1.25 a mile on my trailer. Alternatively, it'd be an interesting drive, and would have confidence driving it anywhere.
