Hello I spend a large amount of my time working in Dubai and in the Johannesburg area and keep being drawn to how cool the Nissan 1400 is:  They can be had in reasonable condition for around 40,000 Rand (Couple of Grand!)) and I'm thinking of turning the fantasy into reality and sourcing one and bringing it to the UK, my mate I travel with is after a CITI Golf also:  My mine hurdle is the lack of knowledge and people to assist in SA in the logistics of getting the thing shipped, can anyone SA based recommend or be willing to assist, or has anyone in the UK done this? My old man has a best mate who use to work in shipping, not sure if he still does, I can find out though, downside is he was bassed out of Durban. On another note, those little nissan's are bomb proof from what my Dad says

There is a guy near me that imports SA cars etc. He had a few for sale on here even.

There is a guy near me that imports SA cars etc. He had a few for sale on here even. Does he have a website, or do you have contact details? |

Afraid not - his user name was something like 'Petinance' or similar. His boss does the imports I believe and he then sells them. He is into T25 VW's etc. and is from Aldershot. Someone else on here must know him?

I (well me and my south african friend) have brought a few over now, talking of small bakkies - I very very very nearly went for this recently  but, the point of my post, I can point you in the right direction, theres a guy we have used to source, inspect, report, negotiate, complete the paperwork and arrange the shipping ! I'll pm you his contact details, along with some potential pitfalls. |
