1983 A Porsche 924 2.0
Alpine White (L90E)
Black Pinstripe Interior
Mileage: 47,566
MoT: 4th May 2018
Exterior: Very straight indeed, there is a noticeable dink above the drivers door handle but that's about it. It's no stranger to paint or touch ups unfortunately, but they are only really noticeable on close inspection, it looks just as good in person as it does in the pictures.
Interior: Seats are fantastic, no wear to speak of. Dash does have some cracks but not bad ones.
Wheels/Tyres: 15" ATS Teledials, apparently they are rare. To be perfect they would need a refurb, but are very presentable. I have three of the original centre caps, so have have replaced with eBay special black caps. Has brand new Hankook tyres all round.
Engine/Mechanical: Suffers from a cold start issue, I have had the fifth injector replaced, but didn't make much of a difference. It starts on the key first time every time without fail, but you need to wait about 60 seconds before you can move off. The MoT shows a loose drive shaft as the only advisory, but I have had this sorted, along with a new thermostat, thermoswitch, full coolant flush, plugs, leads and dizzy cap. Once warm the temp gauge always sits at dead centre. The fuel gauge is sporadic and the dials don't illuminate. I am told the last 2 could be fixed with a new fuse or cleaning the connections. The mileometer and trip do not turn. New exhaust fitted (with stainless rear) 2 weeks ago.
Summary: The car isn't concourse, but it is very clean and very presentable. It drives so well, can cruise at 70 (or a little more!), it has never let me down. I have used it as my station car since I bought it in May. I have a folder full of receipts and documents to back up the history of the car.
I bought this intending on it being a keeper, but I missed the opportunity to buy a dream car of mine before buying this and the opportunity has arisen again.
I think the pictures speak for themselves and feel free to ask questions and to come and view.
