Hi All,
This has been a good car for me over the time I had it on the road, but I have other things taking up my time so this is straightforward project for someone.
MR2 2.0 G-Limited 1992 K609RRL Imported Feb 2000
872000 miles showing: likely 90000-110000 actual
No MOT
Standard apart from radio, speakers and cone air filter. Comes with free unfitted decat pipe.
Red paint pink and tired in places, few small scrapes and small dents. Less corroded than average, but drivers side sill will need patching. Passenger side sill seems solid, but slightly dented. Small amount of surface corrosion along front of and under t bar seal where water has sat between the seal and the body. I have had a look and i recently fixed similar on my turbo (wire brush and rust remover - there shouldn't be perforation).
Interior is good, with decent condition black leather. Momo wheel not included. T bar seals are in ok shape, a little bit of strategic silicone is required on driver’s side. T bar shades and bags included.
Standard wheels in various conditions. Can come with good (~6mm, worn on outside edge from an autosolo on my Turbo) Toyo T1Rs on rear or terrible, scary Roadstones for £50 less. Fronts are 205 55 15 nexens, little worn on the outside.
Mechanically good. idles a little fast. I’m told it has a recent clutch but no proof. Speedo sensor replaced, but not working, will need investigation. Was working intermittently with a completely broken one. may require the swapping of the the electronic part from the old one.
Suspension seems ok, apart from rear roll bar bushes and mounts. Rear arm bushes are getting a bit old, but no excessive movement.
New in last 6 months/approx. 2k miles.
4 Bosch Spark plugs
Castrol 15w40 Oil+ ecp oil filter
Front left and right balljoints
Front right drop link
Front Ferodo pads and Mintex discs, front right caliper rebuilt.
Alignment at Hatton energy motorsport, checked and adjusted at Xpress Falmouth after salvage front hub fitted.
Will certainly need for MOT:
Patch on driver’s side sill
Rear roll bar brackets and bushes
£450: Penryn
Lots of pics: www.dropbox.com/sh/4p1jojocs2mqpku/AAArQrNz63-74pi5OTbhrVfDa?dl=0
Cheers, Felix
