It states 'Mexico' on the V5 but there are RS bits missing from the shell hence this has been re-shelled in it's life.
It has a 2.0 pinto, FR32 cam, 38DGAS carbs, type 9 5 speed box, 3.75 diff, H&H electronic ignition, facet fuel pump, single leaf springs, anti-tramp bars and panhard. It drives really, really well. It was rolling road tuned in the summer and produced 130bhp.
The shell is very solid.
The mk2 Mexico is a very rare car with only 3,000 built. They are more rare than the RS2000. A genuine shelled one with original engine would be > £25k but wouldn't handle or be as quick as this!
