Just a little update as there's not much to see, despite me working on it every night this week! So, last night I made a clutch cable, but as there's not much to see there's no pictures of that. It does however mean that I have a fully functioning clutch! And with the left foot occupied, it's only decent that I give the right foot something to do. And with that thought I followed a similar procedure to previous and made myself a brake pedal and accelerator; And the view from the driving position; Hopefully picking up a brake caliper at the weekend, so that's next weeks agenda

Not much chance of left foot braking there then Loving this build tho, will you keep the cosy coupe part red and yellow in the final paint scheme?

Clutch pedal looks like it puts you're leg in the perfect position for some precision sprocket slicing! Is there gonna be a guard on the sprocket? Whole project looks awesome.

Yes, there will be full guarding on the chains and sprockets. I'm building this with my kids in mind, so safety precautions are being built in. It's one thing for me to injure myself on some ridiculous contraption, but not them.
The colour scheme isn't totally finalised yet, but the body shell and roof will be the original red and yellow, and probably with white rear wheels and a black chassis

Right then. Brakes! So a nice little kart (I think) brake caliper was donated to the cause by a friend, and bracketry happened; And shortly after that, nice Mr Postman brought me a little package so I fitted that as well; Made up a copper brake pipe, filled the resevoir with fluid and we now have fully functioning brakes!

No that would be a really bad idea, and taking videos would be even worse! How about building a trailer type thing with seats for the whole family?

I grew up in the 70s, and we used to go to a local park that had a miniature railway.you could have a ride on it for about 5p lol! but they had things they towed behind the train that were like long seats that you would cock your leg over and there was a foot rest to er rest your feet on. I'v made a very bad job of describing what I mean lol! I'm going to blame beer for that!

At home is even less of an issue as I live in a private housing estate where the roads are unadopted π

Right then. It's the start of another week. That means more tinkering time So, another delivery from the great land of cheap knock offs and we have a mystical box of elastictrickery; And with a quick bracket we have a battery isolator switch. Because safety and shizz; The original air filter looked a little too, errrrr, generatory so I fitted a spare K&N I still have from the Vitesse when it was on carbs, because racecar!;

So, following all that, some wiring happened. I won't show you that as I'm sure you all know what electric cabling looks like!
With the wires extended and connected to where I thought they should be, I flicked the switch. Things happened;
