Sorry I missed you today optimusprime, I had to do some training and other stuff, so had a couple of hours at home. Really pleased you enjoyed the tea and scotch egg, and I hope you have a safe journey back home. Hopefully I'll be there next time.

Wifey is already planning a trip around your neck of the woods down to Whitby ..... Can you provide a little better weather next time please?

Haven't been on RR for a while, but just read up on this thread, and I have to say - well done mate, very well done Hope all goes well for you, and I hear you do Vegan stuff too, so I'll recommend to my friends Can I ask if the phone number on the shop front (01287623777) is right though, as a search brings up only this builders yard... Harrison Building Contractors, 24 Eden St, Saltburn, TS12 1JZ, 01287623777.

The phone number is correct, although we have it unplugged at present as we were initially inundated with calls from utilities broker companies etc, and to be honest, as it's been so busy, and we're flying about, the last thing you need is the phone to be blaring out, only to pick it up for it to be ANOTHER sales call.

First staff monthly payday tomorrow. Then the rent on Thursday. Just as well we've sold a few coffees!

I open up most mornings and I'm on my own until half ten. Another person comes in then as it starts to pick up, then on weekdays I have another person come in between 11am and 3pm to cover the busy lunch rush. Then there are two of us left to finish off and clean up at the end of the day. Weekends normally need five of us during the busy middle part of the day.

Chris - Apologies - I was in your neck of the woods (SoT) last week to collect a project forum.retro-rides.org/thread/203003/jowett-jupiter-sports-restoration-project unfortunately I was on a very tight timeframe / deadline and could not find time to call in and put some business your way - I take it by the fact that your thread has gone quiet that you are rushed off your feet and business is better than you predicted / expected - Chris

There's always next time. You are also correct ref your presumption that we are busy causing this thread to go a bit quiet. Yesterday (Mother's Day) was very busy. I've also picked up a chest infection, no doubt caused by lack of day's off since we opened following on from two months full on doing the shop out.

Downside of being self employed - you just cant afford to be ill - both from a money but more importantly time prospective!

Hope you get well soon! I've not had a spare minute to get up for a visit due to illness eating up my spare time and a cocked up collection run that saw me lose another day's work I could ill afford. Hooray for working through weekends to catch up!
Still, better than the alternative and it does sound like your place is doing brilliantly well. Seems to have been a risk worth taking! I will visit eventually, just not sure when exactly eventually will be!

We'd have to figure out parking. I'd be up for some sort of semi-formal get together dealie, providing it's not this weekend.
