For sale, my genuine BMW E34 535i sport manual.
It's an 89 with 72k miles, 3 previous owners before me. I love it but in the 5yrs I've have had it I've done less than 1k miles and it just doesn't get the attention it deserves.
Spec is as follows:
Dolphin Grey Metallic
Cream leather interior with front electrically adjustable sports seats
Working Air Con
Electric sunroof
Electric windows all round
OBC
It has the foam on the toolbox and in the front ash tray from new!
In my ownership I have done the following work:
Replaced all disks / pads
Diff seal oil leak fixed by CPC
Replaced all 4 cracking and perishing Michelin TRX tyres (part worn but still very expensive!)
New beast of a battery fitted
It has just had a big service and MOT which it went through with no advisories.
It's not perfect, it looks better in the pics than in real life but it's definitely one of the better ones. To my knowledge, it has the following issues:
Headline sagging but I have a replacement part
Speedo is intermittently erratic
Heating and air con only work on the 2 extreme speeds, low and high.
Heater blower is noisy
Electric radio antenna faulty
Stereo removed (still have original blaupunkt and the Sony I removed)
Idles a little high at times
No rust that I can visibly see but there are age related scratches, and marks. Most notable one is a chunk of lacquer on door thats come away.
