The story so far is here: www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=9498 from it being dragged from a barn to where it is now.
Seats - I refitted a standard drivers' seat for Scimfest @ Curborough (at 6'2" my head just touches the headlining at times) but there's the choice of the black Velour Alfa 147 seats as shown or originals (both fit to the standard runners so take 5 minutes and 2 bolts to change over). Rear standard seats currently not fitted but included, as are the matching rear seats from the same Alfa in case you fancy getting the originals recovered to match.
Still needs a few things doing to finish it off, including:
Door cards could do with reworking - I refitted the vinyl to new hardboard but didn't cut them to exactly the same size as the originals. I was intending to get a new pair from Graham Walker (now selling very good reproductions).
Rear tailgate seals could do with replacing as well as new drain tubes fitting (the reason there's no rear load area carpet fitted!).
Speedo - currently using my phone as a speedo; Up to you if you fancy carrying on with my idea of using an ABS sensor on the prop and scaling it up to utilise the nybrid Smiths electronic speedo or throw it away and fit some different gauges is your choice.
Roll of matching carpet included.
Fresh (no advisories) MoT obtained this month.
Revolution wheels (7x15 front; 8x15 rear) with virtually new and unused Uniroyal RainExpert tyres.
Koni shocks front and rear.
Relay fed Cibie headlamps up front, Bulgarian Trailer lights at the rear.
Starts, goes, stops just like a modern car. Was dyno'd at 212bhp with a duff Lambda sensor (now fixed); probably has a few more horses now. Also pulls my 1100kg caravan with ease in 5th gear due to the ramair system from the Omega giving a wonderful spread of torque. Should it have a problem, standard diagnostics are retained (short 2 pins in the socket and count the flash codes on the re-purposed low FUEL lamp). Will do nearly 40mpg if touring solo as well.
I have a pair of fibreglass bumpers to go with it (and the brackets) - I just like the bumperless look!
Funds and time allocation needed for other Scimitar projects..
