Hi folks Thanks to the organisers for yet another fantastic meet. Ten years after my 2CV appeared at the first Gathering, it was great fun to bring her back to one. Last one was Haynes - 2009? Anyway, I run my own video channel on YouTube - HubNut - and I'd love to squeeze some action video from the day into my report on the day. I have some in-car stuff, but did you catch my 2CV screaming its way very slowly up the hill? If you do, I'd like to hear from you! Ian@hubnut.org Thanks Ian Oh, and because 'give me' posts are boring, here's some stuff from the day back at you. I love this shot, just because VARIETY. Finally, this link is to a video of the V8 hot rod trying to make its way through pink tyre smoke...

How on Earth did you find time to take photos?! You seemed to be flat out all day. Well done to you and your assistant(s) for keeping things flowing very nicely though. Must be like herding cats...

Err I didn't take many - or rather as many as I'd liked to have done I'll do a proper thread on the hill activities when I have time but in a nut shell it was almost fault free and we got 533 runs up the hill in 7 hours which shows how consistent we are when running

I've found one shot in among the few i took on the hill, its not the best though I do apologise, fluffed up the panning so the front is not the sharpest in the world but i've done what I can in post! Should be able to download it from flickr but can email it to you if you want it IMG_3900 by JackMorris205, on Flickr

Did you start with a complete 2CV? I only saw you in the afternoon with bits missing And if so, how much difference did it make to your times?

The first run was done complete. I then removed everything that could be removed without tools - bonnet, bootlid and rear doors - and did another run. Then my friend with the green BMW-powered 2CV removed the wipers.
Runs weren't timed, but it was done more the giggle really. I reckon it did make a bit of a difference, in that I ran out of second gear more quickly once lightened. Annoyingly, the hill was too steep for third gear, so I was stuck screaming up in second, at all of about 40mph. Until I got to the top bends, it was actually quite boring...
