Hi, I'm selling my Skyline- it is a 1983 Skyline 2000RS (DR30)
I imported it from Japan in December 2015
86000 Kilometres
MOT Jan 2018
So, as said, I imported the car in December 2015 and it finally hit the road in April 2016- I spent the winter doing loads of little jobs to make it more usable, replacing loads of rubber bits, refurbishing the headlights, painting the floor with chassis black etc
It came off the road in May 2016 when it burnt the valves....instead of just sorting the head, I had the whole engine rebuilt, which cost a lot of money due to the rarity of the FJ20 engine...all the parts had to come from Australia! Now, it runs great!
The interior has just been reupholstered in a combination of grey tweed bolsters and plaid inserts....not the original style, but it's period correct and it looks spot on! The front seats are non standard Recaros.
The body was painted a while ago in Japan and is still very presentable- its very straight and the paint still looks pretty good
The wheels are SSR Formula mesh 7.5x15 with good Vredestein tyres
it has adjustable coilovers, brand unknown
The injection system has been replaced with twin Carbs- it did have MIkunis, but now has Dellorto DHLA 40s for ease of repair and great parts availability
Personal steering wheel taken from a Lotus Excel
Jenesis front spoiler
I'm asking £14995 for the car....I may be inclined to take a reasonable offer!
This is a rare old thing on this side of the world, there are only about 10 that I know of over here, so the chances of parking next to another are slim!
Check out the Monky London video review of the car for a better feel! it was filmed before the engine rebuild and the new interior
