Hi
A friend of mine has got a MK1 granada and now he is looking for new wheels. He would like to fit 15 Inch wheels but does not know what width and ET would be suitable for the mk1. do you have some ideas or actually examples?

I'm not sure of the differences between mk1 and mk2. But the mk2 is ET38, and I'm currently running 6.5x16 with 205/55r16 tyres with no clearance issues at all. In fact, the rears are now spaced out 25mm each side with no issues either. I have a sneaky suspicion that 225/40r18 fits without clearance problems as well, but no-one wants that low a profile on an old Ford

Depends on the over all style of a car. generally I would not fit 18 on a car from the 70`s but there are muscle cars with even bigger Wheels which also looks good.
I have seen granadas with 9x16 wheels. That was exactly that fitment which we are planing but I do not know the offset...

I would stick close to Fords offset if you can. I know the Mercedes fitments are a bit too low an ET and will rub on the wheel arches. And the newer stuff is quite a high ET and would leave the inner rim close to the inner wheel well There is a couple of mk2s on here with banded steels, and benw456 has 18inch and quite wide Compomotives on his that appear to clear the arches. May be worth looking through the build threads and seeing what info is there
