Over the weekend my wife's uncle had his gorgeous 4" scale Sentinel live steam lorry stolen from the Chatham area. He is an amazing engineer and scratch built it over several years. It has massive sentimental value as he built it with his father (the "H" on the livery) who passed away recently. It has been featured in the model engineering press and is well known in the model engineering community, it is about 8 feet long and weighs a couple of hundred kilos. If anyone hears anything about something like this being offered for sale or displayed anywhere could they drop me a pm so I can pass the info on to my wife's family. www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/news/steam-engine-stolen-from-mans-130122/

That's so unique there's a big chance of it turning up id say, I can't see a career Crim knowing one end of a steam engine from the other. It's also awesome so got everything crossed for you guys.

It's sad to hear about this as I know the hours that went into building that, and it's certainly not done for the money it might be worth. Dorset Steam Fair is on this month I think, lots of stuff on show and for sale there so anyone going there could keep an eye out for it just in case it turns up.

How do these bell ends sleep at night? Rolling around in their own p1ss and sh1t in total squalor I would imagine, if they are not out making other peoples lives total miseries. There's low... and then there's low. Taking a man's hand made machine, I hope the rest of the toilet bowl rots lives are plagued by regular unfortunate events and catastrophes.
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Yes we expect it has. Apparently there's a big demand for stuff like this in the Middle East of all places. They are close to the m2 so it was probably on the continent within hours of being stolen :-(
