I've seen this thing on a the road a couple of times now, first time at night in Hastings and the other week in Herstmoncuex, it looks like a late 90s discovery on the biggest tractor wheels you can get. this thing must be about 18ft tall, its huge, unusually enormous. its almost like a proper monster truck but the wheels don't stick out too far at the sides does anyone know anything of it? I can't find any info at all and I'm quite intrigued. did find this though whilst looking, which is pretty cool

^^^^^^ It's a bit OTT for my taste, but I love portal axles (imagine Homer Simpson drooling; MMmm. Portal axles) did find this though whilst looking, which is pretty cool See you and raise you.

Not that one. Imagine that car but the tyres at the highest point must have been about 7ft high. No exaggeration, it's very tall.

Is this the same one?, pictures from 2012 look at the tow bar :-) This one isn't particularly high but the axle articulation is pretty good.

I struggle with stuff built like that cos the lowest point will always be the axles. No point in making the cab higher... Or did I miss something? Love the track conversions though!!

The idea is the body goes higher so you can make room for bigger tyres which raises your axle centres. Or get portal axles for ultimate 4X4 cool points.

Raising the body more also alows more articulation. Its not just the normal suspension movement. Big tyres + lots of articulation means big arch gaps and raised bodies. Personally, id rather see fast and brutal off roading in the uk rather than our usual slow and steady approach. We need mud bogging and formula off road in the uk

I love Baja's and buggies for that reason. The speed you can hit bumps is crazy in them!

Baja and buggy isnt quite what I'm after. Have you seen american mud bogging? huge monster trucks battling 4' deep mud bogs. Looks great fun.
