For sale is my 1989 Ford F150 4.9 inline 6, 5-speed manual, rear wheel drive. Standard cab with an 8’ bed.
3:08 rear end.
It has recently had £1200 spent on it which included troubleshooting to fix a previous owner's bodged wiring and replace the ignition switch and ignition control module along with new injectors, spark plugs, distributor cap and pickup. Compression test came back spot on. It has also had a new front left lower ball joint fitted.
Rotor arm, ignition coil and HT leads have all been replaced this week.
Electric windows, power steering and both fuel tanks all work as they should.
There are some receipts for previous work carried out including all receipts since I have owned it.
It had an MOT up until the 7th of June this year.
Mileage is around the 17 thousand mark but it has a 5 digit odo so who knows. It is in pretty good condition considering it's been in the country since 1991. Cheap tax and insurance. And it looks killer.
It starts and runs but there is a misfire and it is not running on all cylinders. The garage said that it did run correctly for a while after the faulty injectors were replaced but then went back to running rough again.
I have set the timing to the best of my ability but something still isn’t quite right (I suspect a vacuum leak). It's a badass truck and I would love to get it running properly but I simply don't have the patience or time for it anymore. I'm still balls deep in my Capri Cosworth conversion. It would make an easy project for someone.
£2500 (Alternatively, come round and fix it for me and I'll bung you some cash. No joke.)
Cheers
Dale
