The interior, lovely eh... all getting recovered, new curtains etc, looking at simple japanese printed fabrics and kimonos for ideas.

Looks good, but what’s the airdam thing about on the bumper?! I’ve seen 5-stud CROWN alloys fitted to an earlier Hiace, looked good. Cedrics are the same PCD, and one of the US makers too? Can’t recall if Mopar or Ford, not Chevy though IIRC.
Do we get to see it next Tuesday?
What happened to the earlier one you were also looking at?

You may see it tuesday, depends on if it gets started on. Spent two weeks chasing 2 earlier models.. to no avail.. one got sold sharpish before I could get down to the south coast and see it, the other was supposed to be up for sale once it got back from france.. but was sold to someone 'on the way back' .. ..this is one of them, the other was very similiar..

Those are actually Barracuda rims, made by Mooneyes Japan I think. That is one of the barracuda.jp vans. It had some Ronal/AMG/Penta style 5 spokes on it previously which I think looked better. 5x114.3 (AKA 5x4.5") is a surprisingly common fitment. Everything from Ford US (yep, that gives you options on all the cool US rod and race rims!) to the majority of larger/performance stuff from Japan (Skylines/Supras/Lexus etc) as well as a multitide of stuff designed just for HiAces which have a massive aftermarket scene in Japan - albeit mostly for ones later than yours.

Nice Glad you found something to suit your plans. Might be worth trying to track down some of the chrome off and earlier one (?) to make it look less plasticy?

Sounds promising, just need to keep my eyes out for a bargain on something suitable.... ive been trawling the net, is it me or are 99% of rims, especially moderns, completely hideous. [/quote] Tracking down spares for Hiaces is a real mission here, hordes of 'em have been exported to africa, not sure what Toyota themselves have lurking in their old-new-stock. I knew this before we bought it, but just got fixated on a Toyota being 'the one'. Anyone comes across anything let me know... that goes for rims too
