	Well, there's the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service. Until recently, you needed to know the registration and the make of the vehicle, but they've modified it now and only the registration number is needed. Which is handy on some older stuff as it could be a bit of a lottery as to how it was registered. And it's also much easier on the "what car is this?" photos. vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ There are various other services - mycarcheck, cartell and many more - that can sometimes give a little more information - for some reason the DVLA enquiry doesn't list the model.
