Sorry to make my first post a for sale ad but I have lurked here for years.
Yes the paint really is that amazing, don't rub your hand too firmly on it otherwise it will draw blood.
I bought this Citroen bx with the usual faded paint and 192k on the clock. It had a pretty extensive service history and a huge amount of special wiring additions that I have removed.
While I have owned this junior space ship i have replaced the following: cam belt, water pump, aux belt, heater matrix, accumulator sphere, various coolant hoses that looked ropey, lower ball joints, all 4 tyres and changed the oil and filters twice.
I have added 20k to the milage over the last year and a half and the car has been fantastic with no breakdowns. It's a great example of French comfortable seats and even has the rear sunblinds still intact.
The place that fitted the tyre was pretty slapdash so the wheel could do with being balanced properly, there is a vibration between 70-75.
The middle bearing on the drive shaft is noisy but has not got any worse, Have a new bearing in the glovebox.
There are no speakers in the front doors and the rear ones fart and whistle like an incontinent old lady. I have a period alpine head unit to go with the car.
Pictures to follow, my phone doesn't like uploading for some reason
