I have a Ford Capri that is now going up for sale, unfortunately, due to the fact I am moving away from Bristol for a good year then I will be studying in Birmingham so I will not have the time to work on it and would rather see it go to someone who can work on it and appreciated it than be sat around waiting for me.
Photos of the car below...
The good parts of the car:
It is, in fact, a 2.8I special with the correct;
Alloys, slip diff, 5 speed half leather interior.
The engine ran well and strong with no bumps or knocks and the engine was rebuilt at ~ 72,000 miles and it is only at 120,000 now
It has been serviced and maintained through the whole course of the car with receipts to show along with new parts added such as
Fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter (not K&N as that split), injectors, down pipes (replacing the old kidney boxes), heads skimmed and polished, new gaskets pretty much everywhere, wheel cap nuts so you don't need the stupid specialised tool to get them off,
Along with an old 90's ratio as. when bought, there was not one fitted just a whole in the dash.
The bad parts exterior:
It has been sat for awhile as I have been away at university for the last year,
Along with the fact when I last when to run it, it failed to start up, turns over but doesn't fire up, even after battery recharge and multip thing changed as stated above.
Small parts of rust has started to creep in, with bubbling to take place along; the n/s rear wheel arch, near the bottom of the o/s windscreen and front end near the lights, minor but just being honest
On the o/s wing, a small repair needs to carry out as it has gone through
Two bigger welding points need doing, one on the o/s bonnet rail where it has been badly repaired before and rusted though with half the rail now missing, and the being the lower rear corner needs repair, but I do have the panel for that to be done.
There are six scratch makes along the o/s of the car in nice parallel lines,
the sticker set that is currently on the car could do with replacement, but still ok.
The bad parts interior:
The dash has been cracked due to it being leather and the heat we have been getting.
Driver seats damaged but was like it when purchased
Along with the lever to drop the seat forward now missing due it falling off and I can't find it
Dash have been badly cut to fit a more modern radio, again was like it when bought
The rear parcel shelf needs painting as it was being repaired due to a previous owner trying to add 6by9s and done it wrong...
Other parts
I am mentioning this as I don't know if that has caused the current problems with the car, but an old alarm system has been removed as it was practically broken when brought and just made the wiring
inside the car more complicated, so that was removed...
I am open to offers but nothing stupid, I know who much these cars are worth.
