Hi chaps
I have a damn clean Volvo 240 here in need of some crusty repairs and minor paint. The car is mega solid for a 240, just starting to go in the usual places (arches, sills, inner wing by the doors, bottom of screen)
Now my issue is, the little bits are sorta dotted around the car, couple that with some paint peel it's going to need a fair bit of paint. Sounds worse than it is, people are amazed how clean she is.
So, spend the next 12 months clearing my bank account on repairs and paint in stages OR complete all metal work so shes solid and rustoleum her, lows, rod style? Keep all the chrome etc, maybe go for a bit of a goth/Manson style?
I know there'll be mixed opinions but my main goal is longevity of the car, no aestics. If I go for the 'proper' paint option it will take time, worsen rust wise and skint me out for mechanical maintenance jobs.
Some feedback would be awesome.
