I bought the car earlier this year from a mechanic friend who built it but ran out of cash to finish it off and get it mapped. I had it mapped by Justin at JDT in Brenzett. For those of you who don't know, Justin is an expert on all things Honda and maps cars on the bypass. He was impressed by the car and I'm sure he can be contacted if you would like an independent opinion. I asked him to map it with maximum safety in mind, so it's running a little rich with a rev limit at 8700RPM and it will cut revs when water temp reaches 100 degrees C. It's running on the minimum boost of 0.5bar, it's plenty fast enough but there is a lot of room for more power if desired. I then put it through an MOT which it went through with no advisories. I have only used the car for taking stuff to the tip (i usually drive a van or bike) and two half days at Lydden where it proves itself to be a flying machine. It pulls fantastically and the LSD means that the power gets put down in an exceptional manner. The only problem I have with the car is that around Lydden it get's too hot. I put the fan on a switch to aid cooling but really it needs a bigger radiator.
I'm only selling as I haven't got the time to put into to the car to make it what i want, I have a young family and that must take priority.
Due to this being a highly modified car there are no test drives. I am happy to take you for a spin and I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Any questions please ask.
Thanks for looking, and if you fancy an early GSXR please check out my other auction.
