Absolutely brilliant work, it looks a real stunner now. Now to replace that horrid modern font number plate for the correct period one. These guys can do that, if you know the supplying dealer they can do dealer plates and stickers too. www.dmb.uk.com/This car deserves such a nice finishing touch, modern plates look wrong.

Thanks for all your positive support. It has been a long journey to get here and nearly 4 years of pushing to get it finished. But it is finished at last! I just have a few bits to sort out and still some trim to put on but that's about it.

Great to see a good few sapporos out! I have never seen so many in one picture! Car realy has turned out great, that bodywork is perfection! What is the paint code/ name for that shade of silver? I never thought silver body and red interior could go so well together, but it realy pulls the car together and sets it off beautifully Got some more outings lined up ready for next year?....

Wow, good luck with that - will be a good looking car if you can pull it off (and change the colour).

Yes Tim and Fuzz, the SOS Boys were there. You can see Tim talking to me as they waved us off. Really nice guys and genuinely interested in all the cars there. You are right I can't ever see a time when I could let the Sapporo go.........and now the Celeste too! Yikes! Glad we may a slight convert to J cars too!

I looked forever for this wheel. It's from the American Spec Sapporo called a Dodge Challenger in the USA. (or Plymouth Sapporo) I never really liked the single spoke wheel, I know a lot of people do but I always wanted one of these. I finally found one a couple of years ago and have been waiting to get it on the car. I was going to get it covered in leather to match but thought I would try to paint it first. I had PVC paint colour matched to one of the arm rests and had a go at changing the colour!
