Time for this guy to be passed on for someone else to enjoy
He has never missed a beat and has been my main run around for the past 2 years or so, taking in the nc500 and all sorts of highlands and islands adventures.
Eunos Roadster (Mazda Mx5)
VR-LTD Combination B (only 800 made)
1.8l Manual
1996
Imported in 2008 from japan
212000ish KM (still has the imported gagues)
MOT - August 2017
Never been drifted
Dark Green exterior with black interior
VR LTd Speedo and Seats
Raybrig Lights - Very saught after (blue tinted and higher power than the stock ones)
Limited Slip Differential
Engine Brace
Rear Anti Roll Bar (Sway Bar)
JDM Flare (yes its still in there, whether it works... who knows)
Modifications
Roll Bar - JDM half cage, fitted before import.
Suspension - Pro Sport adjustable Coilovers all round, lowering the car but not to a point where it has any issues with speedbumps etc. This was professionally set up and aligned at a rally car specialist garage.
Steering Boss - Detachable steering wheel (for living in a city this is an essential security feature)
Side Indicators - Replaced for more attractive classic Fiat 500 repeaters (a common mod)
Wheels - ATS Cups with a full set of toyo proxes TR1's in good condition. these fill the arches nicely giving a great look with added width.
Exhaust - Cat Back (rear section) dual exit exhaust. This sounds amazing and made a huge difference compared to the pea shooter before. It makes a good grunt, but is nice and timid while idling (so wont annoy all the neighbors)
Bumper Cut - the rear bumper has been lightly cut away to allow for the uprated exhaust. exposing the underside a little giving it an subtle but aggressive look
Reversing light - Re-located into light cluster (common modification)
Engine - Red Painted Valve Cover. Other than that the engine and accessories are stock (ideal for insurance)
Stereo - Upgraded with Aux In
Track Roundels - Purely aesthetic but these track roundels were added to give it that 'Race Car Look' . they are applied vinlys and could be removed (although not sure what the paint is now like underneath, i have a feeling the bonnet one isnt great)
Monza Style Flip Petrol Filler Cap
Other
Paintwork - is all there in dark green, but years of touch ups means that it has not all been fully lacquered. A can of clear lacquer can be included to finish off any areas that require it. There is a patch of paint that has come off underneath the bonnet roundel. It has been a car that has been loved and USED, not a show car and as such it shows. this doesn't mean that it isnt a real head turner and even taking photos for this i was getting compliments from strangers in the street.
Rust - For a car this age it's not doing badly. Some bubbling from wear and tear but manageable. The only big one is the RH sill (shown in the photos), its been patched up a few times but will eventually need replaced). My advice on this is to come have a look and see what you think.
Roof- This has no leaks and a heated rear window
Underside - In general ok condition as far as i know but the chassis rails have taken a few knocks from speed bumps here and there and its been a while since i've been under it. It could generally do with a can of underseal being taken to it at some point.
Mot - Advisories for break pads wearing thin (set of green stuff pads can be included), dust covers for front suspension ball joints and an engine oil leak (my oil has not gone down in the past year though it is probably due a change)
I think i have covered as much as i can, but if you think there is anything else in there then give me a shout. will be happy to answer questions as best i can and there are some more photos of bodywork etc too.
