Bloody hell, I'm almost speechless.... Fantastic stuff and a great ending to an epic thread. Many thanks for sharing this with all of us Bryn, it really has put a new perspective on the US side of things for me. Mucho respect to you.

Hi guys, Dragging this back to the top one last time... Huge thanks with a side of order of mucho gracias for the comments, like I said back there somewhere I don't have much time to contribute to the forum in general at the moment, so it's very cool you can share in what I've been up to and glad you enjoyed the ride. Not sure when stuff will be published, but hopefully I can let you know. As for a book? Well that would be nice eh? But who would read it eh? Mores to the point, who would publish it. Alas, 'it was a cold and wet November day, when I left the ground at JFK' (to be said U2 stylee and landed back in London Friday morning. Jon (V8wagon) picked me up from Gatwick and we wandered back into west London for some lard and to recover my Volvo estate. I do love my Volvo, having not budged or been started for three months... It fired straight up and sat there expectant of the inevitable thrapping it was about to receive. Wearing a few new dirt based slogans, the friend whose house I dumped it outside has said he's had to sort three official 'removal notices' and numerous neighbour based enquiries... So it's had a nice holiday. As for the America I left behind, this trip has really altered my outlook on the place. Not that I've been overly down on the states, in fact it would be incredibly hypocritical given how much time I've spent there. But on this particular trip I've really noticed just how positive and welcoming 99% of Americans are... You may not agree with their views or approach sometime, but it's just been a breath of fresh to have met so many wonderful people. And it's them who have made it such an enjoyable trip. One thing I have decided is that I wouldn't recommend anybody drive coast to coast, and I know this comes from having done it five times now, but there are better routes such as I 89 that runs north to south... You get more for your money and time. Anyway, it's now 6 something in the a.m. on Sunday morning and I've slept about ten hours in comedic bursts since Thursday morning, swinging between narcolepsy and def-con one status. Jet lag is a wonderful thing... Worth every second in fact

Welcome back dude. Bet it feels strange to be back in blighty after such a trip. Its been a great thread, certainly something thats made me think about where I'd like to go in the future and maybe even change certain aspects of my life. Its very easy when you get into a routine of working, sleeping, the odd holiday etc, to be content with your lot in life. To haul yourself out of that monotony and to see and experience things is something to be proud of. Like I said, I've enjoyed the thread mostly as a way of escaping daily drudgery. Some awesome cars and intresting people, but for me the best thing has been the sense of adventure and freedom you've shared with us. Its been great reading the updates as I sit at my desk doing my wibblepoo job in a pocket of North London. Cheers buddy. PS. I really must get around to choosing those pics I asked for as well! ;D

Glad you're back safe and sound Bryn. That muscle car collection is just awesome. I love the way they're stacked two high - almost as if its a collection of big model kits or something. Looking forward to hearing about where you go to next!

Looking forward to hearing about where you go to next! Not so sure I'm going to be headed off anywhere soon, been a slight change of plan/priorities. Got somebody in the UK now who might not like it if I disappear for three months or more But after nine months on the road, I'm also not sure how long I can sit still... Might have to pop over to New Zealand in a couple of months for a nosey

It was a compelling thread, dude.
But, more importantly, did you get me a copy of Lowrider magazine...?

I've been talking about driving from NY to family somewhere near Vancouver in the future, with my girlfriend and her brother, if that trip has a tenth of the coolness of yours I'll be very happy (will be a lot shorter timewise though)!

It was a compelling thread, dude. But, more importantly, did you get me a copy of Lowrider magazine...? The only one I could find was the one you had, sorry bud Either I wasn't looking hard enough, or I got the wrong one. I give you a CROWN Classics brochurette instead It has been quite a year Keefy, and as far as the Plymouth van goes I can see it being for sale in the spring as I've got plans for the Suburban. It kind of ticks all the boxes and I just can't keep them all... I can't. I mustn't. No, isn't possible
